Explore the iconic cities and landscapes of bonnie Scotland. Glasgow to Inverness to Edinburgh. We will sample a bit of Whiskey, look for the Loch Ness Monster, take in the scenery of the Highlands, visit the Isle of Skye, ride the Jacobite Stream Train, and walk the Royal Mile.
Our Itinerary
October 17 - Welcome to Scotland! Upon arrival at Edinburgh Airport, go through customs, collect your luggage and proceed to the arrivals hall. Meet with your Driver and transfer by private coach to your hotel. Check-in and enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. With its stunning Georgian and Victorian architecture, it's easy to see why Edinburgh has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Gather this evening with your fellow explorers for an included dinner at a local pub.
October 18 - Join your guide for a full-day tour of Edinburgh. You will explore some of the hidden and secret things of Edinburgh's urban life, Scottish history, architecture, nature, medieval times, how people lived, Edinburgh's history, geography, mythology and much more.
October 19 - After breakfast, meet with your driver and proceed to Inverness in your private coach. Inverness is located at the intersection where Loch Ness meets the Moray Firth. The capital of the Highlands has something for everyone, from history buffs to nature enthusiasts, and allows you to immerse yourself in the beauty and culture of this remarkable region.
October 20 - Today you will explore the Highlands. Stop at Loch Ness, the most famous of all Scottish Lochs. It is approximately 800 feet deep and is famous for its monster, "Nessie." Loch Ness forms part of the Caledonian Canal which runs through the Great Glen. You will stop in Invermoriston, a picturesque village where you can take a short walk to see the beautiful river and bridge. Fort Augustus is this charming town at the southern end of Loch Ness, where you can explore the locks of the Caledonian Canal. Foyers Waterfall is a scenic spot where you can take a short hike to view the waterfall. In Dores, you can relax at the beach or enjoy a meal with a view of Loch Ness. Along the way, visit a whisky distillery.
October 21 - You are in for a delight on the Isle of Skye today. Your first stop will be Eilean Donan Castle, located on a small tidal island in the western Highlands of Scotland, is a cherished historical landmark and a pinnacle of Highland heritage. With its picturesque setting and rich history, it has become one of Scotland’s most iconic castles. The next stop is Portree, the attractive town in a superb natural setting, being surrounded by high ground and cliffs and is the capital of the spectacular island of Skye. It is known for its colorful waterfront and charming shops. On your journey, you will stop at the Fairy Pools. Here you will follow a scenic trail, surrounded by Cuillin mountain peaks where you can visit some magical waterfalls and swim in crystal clear aqua pools. No day is complete in Scotland without a stop at a distillery. On this trip you will stop at Talis.
October 22 - After breakfast you will head to Fort William where you will find stunning scenery, and the home of over 30 historic battlefields. Return to Glasgow via the Jacobite steam train. Experience the journey of a lifetime when you board the famous Jacobite Steam Train in Mallaig. The 42-mile journey will take you along one of the most scenic railway lines in Europe. Just like Harry Potter and his chums, your trip includes crossing the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, just like the Hogwarts Express.
October 23 - Enjoy a full day tour of Glasgow which has an incredible architectural heritage, set within a city full of parks and green spaces. As a compact community, it's easy to discover the world-class culture and charming neighborhoods of Scotland's largest city. Glasgow is known for its striking architecture, contemporary art galleries, fascinating museums and some of the country's best music venues. End the evening with your new friends at an included farewell dinner in a local pub!
October 24 - Bid farewell to Scotland! After breakfast, enjoy a private transfer to Edinburgh Airport, where after check-in you will have plenty of time for your last-minute shopping. Have a safe journey home!
