Is your passport travel ready?
Did you know that most air carriers require 6 months of validity post travel on your passport. This is independent of the rules of the country you are visiting.
Need to stay in touch with family and friends?
Most national mobile carriers offer reasonable data plans for travelers. If you need to receive calls and texts or you want to update your Facebook or post your most instagrammable moments in real time, you will have a couple options: wifi (which is readily available - though sometimes for a fee - in resorts, hotels, cafes, etc. across the globe) OR you you can acquire a temporary international plan from your carrier (if it is offered).
